What are the responsibilities and job description for the Estimator position at Synergi LLC?
Purpose
Estimator shall collect and analyze date in order to estimate the time, money, materials, and labor required to manufacture and construct our products. Estimator shall review drawings and formulate project scopes of work, formulate RFI’s, communicate and clarify scope with clients, conduct take-offs and prepare bid and client proposals.

Primary Responsibilities
- Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering information and requirements, setting priorities and meeting deadlines
- Prepares construction budget by studying home plans; updating specifications; identifying and projecting costs for each elevation.
- Evaluates offers to purchase by costing changes, additions, and site requirements.
- Obtains bids from vendors and subcontractors by specifying materials; identifying qualified subcontractors; negotiating price.
- Maintains cost keys and price master's by updating information.
- Resolves cost discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
- Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Maintains quality service by following organization standards.
- Maintains continuity among corporate, division, and local work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Performance Objectives
Performance is monitored through KPI’s with scheduled reviews with Management. Targets to be discussed at review. (Annual goals will be established at the beginning of employment.)
Skills Attributes Required:
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficient in relevant take-off software (Bluebeam is a plus) Microsoft Office. Proficient in Microsoft excel and or financial bid templates.
Education / Experience Required
Proven experience as an Estimator or similar position. Estimating curtainwall or railings systems a plus.
Certifications / Licenses Required
BS / BA in Engineering, construction science or relevant discipline a plus
Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) will be an asset

Work Environment
This job primarily operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. While performing some of the duties of this job, the employee may be required to walk into the shop/warehouse and may be exposed to shop conditions, ongoing construction, and various weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment may range from moderate to loud.
The employee is required to have a clean workspace in the office. In an instance where the employee is working offsite, at home, at a hotel, etc., the employee is required to have a clean workspace for virtual meetings, internally or externally with clients, vendors, etc.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position (40 hours). Workdays are Monday through Friday, work times are dependent on department, projects, and supervisor’s request and approval.
