IT Project Manager/Scrum Master
W2 6 month contract with potential to extend and convert FTE
Hybrid in Smyrna GA area
This role will be 60% PM focused and 40% Scrum Master focused with strong agile/safe experience.
The Senior Project Manager leads cross-functional, multi-project teams to deliver digital strategy, creative, and interactive web development solutions on time and within budget. This role is responsible for planning, scheduling, and managing all project activities to ensure successful delivery within defined scope, timeline, and cost parameters. Bridging project management with product management, the Senior Project Manager plays a key role in defining and delivering Content Management System (CMS) projects particularly with Optimizely in an Agile environment. Applying technical, theoretical, and managerial skills, this role fosters strong relationships with clients and internal teams while driving project success.
Responsibilities:
- Project & Product Delivery: Develop and maintain delivery approaches, effectively executing projects throughout their lifecycle according to established Agile processes and tools, ensuring success criteria are met.
- Stakeholder Communication: Establish clear project parameters, supporting the success of internal and client teams. Translate client business needs into actionable requirements, creating transparency across all stakeholders.
- Solutioning & Innovation: Define and document business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories. Work closely with developers and designers to ensure requirements are accurately translated into technical solutions.

- Scope, Timeline & Budget Management: Negotiate, define, communicate, and manage project scope. Monitor and adjust project budgets, purchase orders, and invoices to deliver projects within identified timeline.
- Velocity & Resource Planning: Constantly measure team velocity versus capacity and adjust resource models and project plans accordingly.
- Scheduling & Resourcing: Create and maintain project schedules, defining activities, sequence, dependencies, effort, duration, and resource needs. Acquire appropriate resources for project success.
- Agile Practices: Lead Agile delivery methodologies, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, scrum, retrospectives, etc.
- Process Improvement: Contribute to process innovation, supporting effective project delivery.
- Risk Management: Identify and proactively escalate project risks at different levels.
Requirements:
- Experience: Proven experience in project/product management within digital projects, specifically focused on CMS solutions (Optimizely preferred, also familiar with AEM, ContentStack, Sitecore).
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of Agile delivery principles, backlog management, sprint planning, and user story definition.
- Leadership & Initiative: A self-starter with a proactive approach to problem-solving, scope management, and team alignment.
- Strategic Thinker: Ability to define project roadmaps, manage product lifecycles, and translate business needs into functional and technical requirements.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly.
- Multi-tasker: Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously within budgetary, resourcing, and schedule constraints.
- Project Tools Expertise: Experience using JIRA, Microsoft Project (or similar tools), and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
- Lifecycle Knowledge: Strong familiarity with the software development lifecycle, including design, build, and maintenance/enhancements phases.

The hourly pay rate range for this position is $60/hr to $70/hr (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
