We are currently hiring experienced commercial construction Superintendents' within the Austin, DFW and Houston Metro areas. Ideal candidates must be comfortable overseeing all onsite construction operations ranging from sitework, tilt wall construction, MEP installations and finish out.
Candidates must obtain a 30-hour OSHA certificate and will be required to attend continuing education provided by SCC. Candidates should be experienced in communicating project milestones with clients and other parties and be able to establish/manage construction schedules.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all stages of project life cycle on site, managing construction activities and ensuring they align with project plans and specifications.
- Ensure all construction projects comply with state regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
- Supervise and lead subcontractors while fostering a positive work environment that encourages collaboration and innovation.
- Develop and implement project schedule outlooks, coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective projects.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to safety standards, identifying and mitigating potential risks.
- Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns promptly and professionally.
- Manage project resources efficiently, ensuring optimal use of manpower, equipment, and materials.
- Resolve any issues or delays in the construction process, implementing effective solutions to keep projects on track.
- Provide expert advice and consultation on construction matters, leveraging your technical knowledge and experience to guide decision-making.
- Continually review and improve construction processes and procedures, striving for operational excellence.
Qualifications:
· 5-8 years of experience in general commercial construction
· Ability to read construction documents (plans, RFI’s, addenda )
· Familiarity with regulatory construction standards
· Strong project management and communications skills
