Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN)
Job Description
Outpatient services are provided at our locations throughout Central Oregon. Local travel may be required.
This position will primarily support our pediatric and adult population of people living with diabetes, with some individual and group MNT coverage for other conditions.
Schedule Weekly Hours: Up to 20 hours per week (few weekends per year) patient care hours vary between 9 am and 7pm PST.
Qualifications Required
- RDN credential and State of Oregon Licensed Dietitian
- CDCES credential
- Belief in and adherence to Health at Every Size® and Intuitive Eating philosophies
- Advanced experience with and interest in the treatment of all types of diabetes
Responsibilities Patient Care and Education
- Using evidence-based weight-inclusive practices, conducts nutrition assessments, interventions, and follow-up in a client-centered manner for clients referred by area providers
- Collaborates with a team of dietitians
- Participate in case conferences with interdisciplinary teams for client care (mental health, primary care, etc)
- Provide support for diabetes and nutrition group education programs, and in some cases develop, maintain, and conduct group education programs
- Utilize motivational interviewing (MI) skills to support clients in a client-centered manner
Administrative
- Participate in collaboration of care and marketing to area providers
- Utilize technology effectively and efficiently for scheduling, communications, and record keeping
- Maintains accurate records and completes documentation in a timely manner
- Participate in social media and web campaigns, advertising, and promotion

Our ADCES accredited diabetes programming and medical nutrition therapy services are offered at 3 locations throughout Central Oregon. In addition to these services to our local community, we also serve as Nutritionists to WIC Programs throughout the state of Oregon. Our team provides individual and group educational support to clients of all ages. While all of our clinicians have specialties and areas of focus, we also share coverage for a variety of conditions and ages through the lifespan.
