About the Role
We are seeking a Director, Agile Program Management to lead the execution of strategic initiatives within our Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) domain. As part of the Program Management team, this role focuses on Agile Project/Program Management—not Agile coaching or Scrum Master responsibilities.
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Agile methodologies and extensive experience in Oil & Crude trading. You will be responsible for driving cross-functional collaboration, project execution, and delivery excellence within a complex, fast-paced trading environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Agile Program Execution: Oversee and manage Agile-based projects and programs within the ETRM space, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with trading, risk management, IT, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of initiatives.
- Risk & Issue Management: Identify and mitigate risks that impact program timelines, budgets, or scope.
- Agile Best Practices: Apply Agile methodologies to improve team efficiency, while ensuring scalability and adaptability to the trading environment.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Drive coordination between product, development, and business teams to ensure successful program delivery.
- Execution & Delivery Oversight: Ensure projects meet regulatory, compliance, and risk management requirements within the Oil & Crude trading industry.
What You’ll Bring
- Proven Agile Program/Project Management experience (not Agile coaching or Scrum Master roles).
- Deep expertise in Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM).
- Strong understanding of the Oil & Crude trading industry and domain-specific challenges.
- Experience leading Agile teams in complex, high-stakes environments.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across technical and business teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Agile frameworks such as SAFe, Kanban, or Lean Portfolio Management.
- Familiarity with trading systems, risk assessment tools, and market regulations related to Oil & Crude.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and act on trading and risk management data.
