Director of Awareness Media (Contract)
We are seeking a highly experienced Director of Awareness Media to lead paid media strategies for our North American team on a 6-month contract. This role focuses on driving brand awareness, consideration, and acquisition through multi-channel paid media campaigns. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in paid media, particularly within entertainment or subscription services, and a proven track record of optimizing media investments for measurable business impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute awareness media strategies across channels, including TV, online video, sponsorships, cinema, audio, out-of-home, display, and paid social.
- Explore innovative media partnerships to enhance brand awareness beyond traditional placements.
- Manage and optimize the awareness media budget across channels to maximize impact.
- Collaborate with media agencies and cross-functional teams to achieve brand growth goals.
- Oversee incrementality testing and improve media measurement in partnership with Business Insights teams.
- Recommend strategic investment plans grounded in data and aligned with business objectives.
- Stay informed on digital media trends and recommend innovative approaches.
Qualifications:
- 10 years of experience in multi-channel paid media marketing, ideally in entertainment or subscription services.
- Expertise in attribution, incrementality, and media measurement models.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.
- Proven ability to manage budgets and translate data into actionable insights.
- Experience leveraging customer insights to inform marketing strategies.
- Excellent interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA or advanced degree.
- Experience working within a media agency.
- Strong communication skills and deep understanding of subscription revenue models.
