Responsibilities:
- Hands-on design of comprehensive Brand Identity systems with a focus on craft and technical ability.
- Set the creative vision and direction for design projects from inception to final delivery.
- Work on diverse brands, including consumer, tech, startups, B2B, and internal brands.
- Lead and inspire client project teams with support from a client engagement lead.
- Balance client business and budget realities with the goal of creating excellent design work.
- Guide clients through the visual identity and design process, fostering confidence and excitement.
- Collaborate with the CCO and creative team to build a thriving visual identity practice.
- Develop processes and practices with the wider team to ensure high-quality work.
- Ensure client strategies inspire designers and are fit-for-purpose.
- Advocate for the power of design to drive change and educate on best practices.
- Educate on the evolving role of AI in design.
- Contribute to new business proposals and identify opportunities with existing clients.
- Oversee career development for the design team, recruit new talent, and build partnerships with other studios.
Qualifications:
- 9 years of design and identity experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or mentorship role.
- Experience working within a brand or design agency.
- Specialization in logo design and typography.
- A diverse portfolio of work across styles and industries.
- Strong perspective on AI in design, with demonstrable work.
- Expert skills in Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, and other design tools.
- Ability to collaborate with senior and executive clients.
- Excellent visual, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
- A robust network within the design industry.
- Aspiration or proficiency in human-centered design methodologies.
- Experience delivering brand systems in a client-based business (preferred).
Salary : $180,000 - $200,000
