Junior Compliance Specialist ($80,000-$100,000)

Overview:

We’re looking for a motivated Junior Compliance Specialist to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone early in their career with a strong technical foundation and a genuine interest in cybersecurity compliance and startups. You’ll support compliance efforts across frameworks like SOC 2, NIST, and ISO 27001, and collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, and security teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in maintaining and tracking compliance efforts across relevant frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, NIST, ISO 27001).
• Work closely with technical teams to align compliance processes with cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
• Support internal audits, risk assessments, and evidence collection.
• Use tools such as Jira, Confluence, and AWS to manage documentation and workflows.
• Communicate clearly and effectively across teams and with external auditors.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in a technical, IT, or compliance-related role (internships and academic projects welcome).
• Familiarity with at least one compliance framework (SOC 2, NIST, ISO 27001, etc.).
• Foundational understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS) and CI/CD practices.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Passion for startups and cybersecurity compliance.
