About The Role:
Synergy Management Group (SMG) is a consulting firm that partners with institutional investors, portfolio companies, and growing businesses. We collaborate with top-tier organizations in private equity and venture capital to drive growth through sourcing, due diligence, operations, and strategic exits.
We are executing a fast-track seed-stage capital raise targeting $500K–$1M and are seeking an experienced Investment Banker to lead this fundraising effort. This role involves developing investor materials, engaging high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and other relevant seed-stage investors, and managing the entire capital raise process from start to finish in collaboration with the CEO.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Capital Raise: Manage the full-cycle execution of the seed-stage fundraising round, from investor outreach to closing.
- Investor Engagement & Negotiation: Identify and engage high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and other qualified investors within SEC/FINRA-compliant parameters. Facilitate introductions, structure deal terms, and advance investor discussions.
- Develop Investor Materials: Utilize SMG’s existing marketing material, collateral, and related assets to develop and finalize SEC/FINRA-compliant investor materials, including the pitch deck, financials, and use of proceeds.
- Strategic Planning: Define the capital raise strategy, investor targets, and deal structure to ensure an efficient and successful raise.
Requirements:
- 10 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or venture capital.
- Proven track record of executing $500K–$5M capital raises for early-stage companies.
- Must hold active SEC/FINRA broker-dealer licenses (Series 7, 63, and 79 preferred) in good standing.
- Extensive network of high-net-worth investors, family offices, and other seed-stage investors.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and investor relations skills.
- Self-starter capable of independently managing the capital raise process while collaborating closely with the CEO.
Compensation:
- Compensation is 100% success-based. No upfront retainers, salary, or guaranteed payments. Fees are earned only as a percentage of successfully raised capital, paid upon closing.
