Job Title: Medical Billing Specialist
Position Overview: The Medical Billing Specialist is responsible for accurately entering, billing, and reconciling all medical visit data, ensuring proper collection of payments, and adhering to billing policies and guidelines. The role supports the Accounts Receivable (A/R) Manager with troubleshooting and resolving denied claims, collecting revenue from various sources, and ensuring compliance with established practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all medical visits are successfully entered into the practice management Medical Billing System.
- Reconcile charges and data to guarantee 100% accuracy in data entry.
- Verify the correct provider, facility, medical service, and coding for all billed services.
- Assist the A/R Manager in collecting accounts receivable from all insurance payers and fee-for-service revenue sources.
- Investigate, and resolve rejected or denied claims; prepare them for rebilling as needed.
- Correct unpaid claims and ensure timely re-submission
- Submit claims to insurance companies daily.
- Audit claims to ensure timely collections and compliance with billing practices.
- Review Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) to ensure adherence to billing guidelines.
- Follow documented procedures and billing policy guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- CPC Preferred
- Bilingual in English and Spanish Preferred.
