What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Building Engineer position at Synergy Services?
Synergy , a leading Boston commercial real estate firm, is hiring multiple Senior Building Engineers to oversee a small portfolio of buildings and equipment within the buildings. As a Senior Building Engineer, you will be a key member of our engineering staff performing repairs and maintenance for a portfolio of urban-based office buildings. This position will report directly to the Portfolio Engineer.
Job Requirements
- Oversee all mechanical and electrical maintenance activities related to building operations and equipment within assigned buildings or portfolio.
- Monitors low pressure steam boilers and chiller operations.
- Troubleshoot and repair building systems including but not limited to, heat pumps, motors, VAVs, FPTs AHU.
- Hands-on service and operation of base building mechanical systems.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical systems and make recommendations to improve building efficiency.
- Work with Property Managers to come up with Capex projects and oversee installations of projects.
- Work closely with building engineering team to provide insights and expertise for equipment maintenance and repairs.
- Monitor and track equipment performance, resource utilization, and work order completion.
- Ability to work independently or with a team to complete tasks as assigned and solve problems as they arise.
