Job Overview
Seeking a highly motivated and experienced 3-in-1 Site Supervisor / Quality Control Manager / Safety Specialist (SSHO) for a federal construction project at the Naval Base in Key West. This role will be responsible for overseeing daily quality control, safety, and site management, ensuring seamless project execution. The ideal candidate will have experience with USACE and/or NAVFAC construction projects, strong leadership skills, and the ability to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and inspect daily project schedules and operations to ensure smooth workflow.
- Serve as the onsite Construction Quality Control (CQC) lead.
- Complete all required on-site paperwork, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance.
- Coordinate site access for all project stakeholders and ensure timely communication.
- Manage and assist subcontractors, setting clear expectations for quality and safety.
- Monitor subcontractor performance, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
- Ensure OSHA compliance and create a safe work environment by enforcing safety standards.
- Prepare reports, submittals, and documentation for management.
- Inspect and secure the job site to prevent damages, theft, and unsafe conditions.
- Establish work sequences and maintain project schedules, in coordination with the Site Superintendent.
Required Qualifications:
- OSHA 30 certification (preferred).
- CPR training and certification.
- USACE EM 385-1 certification or experience.
- 10 years of experience in construction, with at least 5 years in a Quality Control (QC) role on federal or commercial projects.
- Experience as a Construction Site Superintendent, Quality Control Manager, and SSHO on complex federal or public construction projects.
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings and federal specifications, including schedules and quality control requirements.
- Intermediate computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and
