What are the responsibilities and job description for the Regional Operations Specialist position at Synergy Vet?
The purpose of this position is to grow and develop a SynergyVet territory and oversee all Practice Management for the territory. Your primary role is to support and assist the Veterinarian Partners and practice managers of each practice within your territory. As a leader of the business within your territory, you will ensure each practice’s short term and long-term goals are prioritized and accomplished, while meeting SynergyVet’s hospital growth and development plan for your territory.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Ensure SynergyVet unit growth & development goals are met for your territory
- Ensure each hospital’s staff and operations are aligned with SynergyVet’s Culture and Core Values
- Maintain accountability for the success of each practice in your territory as measured by weekly and monthly SynergyVet Scorecards (measure revenue, COGS, payroll…)
- Assist with demographic and market research for your territory, to include proposals for future potential hospital locations within your territory
- Oversee and manage all development activities to include construction and upfit for each new hospital coming online within your territory
- Hire & staff all initial hospital positions to ensure new hospital’s success – assist in staff training where necessary.
- Assist HR, Vet Partner & Practice Managers with hiring of new staff as needed for each hospital within your territory
- Become proficient with TRACTION by Gino Wickman and its implementation – this EOS is the basis upon which SynergyVet operates and will be critical to your territory’s success
- Schedule and hold quarterly meetings with the leadership teams of each hospital in your territory (Level 10 meetings)
- Assist/coach practice leadership teams with conflict resolution (staff/staff, staff/client…)
- Schedule and coordinate staff Team Building events
- Ensure quarterly check-ins/conversations throughout each hospital’s leadership & staff
- Prepare weekly/monthly Scorecards for review with Vet Partners and Practice Managers of each hospital – hold the staff of each clinic accountable for these results and assist with remedies for areas of the Scorecards where deficiencies are noted
- Assist Vet Partners with development and implementation of “big picture” projects for each practice
- Support and ensure the success of leadership team members within each practice
- Meet with industry representatives, fostering these relationships in order to maximize practice profitability within your territory from a COGS perspective
- Work with SynergyVet Marketing Department to coordinate internal/external marketing with regards to websites, social media, promotions, and branding
- Be willing to temporarily fill in for leadership team members in their absence from a practice within your territory
- Set up / control all industry-related purchasing accounts for each hospital within your territory
- Whenever possible, attend practice-wide staff meetings & out-of-office activities/events
- Look for ways to improve client service processes, ensuring efficiency and quality
- Perform disciplinary, “strike” meetings along with Vet Partner when necessary
- Achieve overall hospital or territory performance goals
- 5 plus years Veterinary Industry experience
- Proven management/leadership experience
- Bachelors degree a plus
