What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Specialist position at Syntagma Group?
Our large and well-established client, in a very stable industry, is in search of a direct hire HR Specialist/Assistant to join their team and provide support to critical functions for the department. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has gained two plus years of experience in human resources and is looking to continue to hone their skills. Please note-this role is onsite 5 days per week.
Responsibilities:
- Handling of the onboarding process including background check for prospective candidates
- Maintaining employee personnel files and keeping up to date
- Uphold Time and Attendance policies and employee schedules;
- Maintain master document list of company policies
- Supporting recruiting process by posting open roles,
- Preparation Excel report for year-end non-exempt bonus and unused payout days;
- Participate in weekly HR department meetings
- Maintain the organization's Harassment Training schedules to ensure they are conducted at designated times
Requirements:
- Two plus years of experience in an HR role within a corporate/professional setting
- Bachelors degree in human resources or related field preferred
- Ability to maintain and handle confidential information
- Experience with HR/Payroll systems
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
