Syntax Talent Solutions is partnering with a growing Law Firm seeking an Intellectual Property Legal Assistant to join their growing team in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in litigation, Federal Court Electronic Filing (CM/ECF), and managing Notices of Deposition.
Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in all phases of intellectual property litigation, including drafting and filing documents.
- Manage Federal Court Electronic Filing (CM/ECF) processes and ensure timely submissions.
- Prepare, organize, and manage Notices of Deposition and related documentation.
- Maintain and organize case files, ensuring all records are up-to-date and accurate.
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases.
- Provide general administrative support to attorneys and the legal team as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a legal assistant or paralegal, specifically in intellectual property law.
- Proficiency in litigation support and Federal Court Electronic Filing (CM/ECF).
- Strong understanding of legal procedures and documentation.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research databases.
Education:
- Associate's degree or higher in Paralegal Studies or a related field preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a legal assistant or paralegal role within intellectual property law.
Salary : $75,000 - $90,000
