Syntax Talent Solutions is seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our client, an international manufacturing company, based in Hagerstown, MD. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing which ideally includes experience with CNC machine maintenance, tool and die repair, and effective team supervision. This role will be based during the first shift but support a team of up to 20 maintenance professionals running three shifts.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily maintenance operations, ensuring all CNC machines and tools are in optimal working condition.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on CNC machinery and tooling equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on CNC machines.
- Supervise and manage a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance and support.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory of tools and spare parts.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime and improve machine efficiency.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in CNC machine maintenance and tool and die repair.
- Strong supervisory skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and maintenance best practices.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in CNC machine maintenance and tool and die repair.
- Previous supervisory experience in a maintenance role is highly desirable.
