Syntelligent is seeking a full-time Virtualization Engineer to support upcoming/contingent work at USSTRATCOM/J61
Location: Offutt AFB, NE
Schedule: Day/ M-F
Responsibilities
Duties will include:
- Design, implement, and sustain hyper-converged enterprise infrastructure solutions.
- Manage and optimize Broadcom’s VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) platform.
- Support Omnissa Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) technologies, including Horizon, App Volumes, and Workspace ONE.
- Provide technical expertise in virtualized infrastructure, supporting modern mission-critical IT systems.
- Collaborate with USSTRATCOM’s J61 Division on architecture, engineering, and modernization efforts.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of eight (8) years of experience as an IT Systems Engineer (SE).
- Experience must include: Requirements Tradeoff, Cost Estimation, Technical Assessments, Technical Planning, Configuration Control Boards, Capabilities Based Assessments, Integrated Baseline Review, Lifecycle Sustainment Planning, Information Assurance / Cybersecurity, Requirements Traceability, Systems Engineering Plan, Work Breakdown Structure, Technical Audits
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience or documented training in designing, deploying, and maintaining systems and capabilities
- Must be able to obtain certification meeting 8140 series requirements within 6-months of notification
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience demonstrating written and oral communication skills including developing and presenting complex written products and oral briefings to senior leaders at the O-6/GS-15 level or higher
- Senior-level specialized knowledge, skillset, and experience in designing, implementing, and sustaining hyper-converged enterprise infrastructure solutions
- Experience with current USSTRATCOM enterprise virtualization tools including Broadcom’s VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) platform and Omnissa VDI technologies (Horizon, App Volumes, Workspace One)
Substitutions for experience:
- A Master’s degree in engineering discipline or Computer Science can substitute for three (3) years of experience.
- A Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline or Computer Science can substitute for one (1) year of experience.
Certification Requirement:
- Must possess an active intermediate or higher technical certification such as; VMware Certified Professional or Equivalent certification from other virtualization vendors
Clearance: Top Secret (TS) with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)
Mental Requirements: Must be able to multi-task and rapidly change priorities with limited notice.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit/stand at a desk for long-periods and must be able to lift 20 pounds occasionally.
