Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Chemical Plant Operator to join our team at Synthomer's Mogadore, Ohio plant. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment, utilizing technical skills to operate and maintain chemical equipment, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain chemical equipment, including tanks, tank cars, and polymerization vessels
- Packaging and labeling of finished products into totes and drums
- Transfer product through proper lines, identifying correct connections and hookups
- Visual inspection of lines, connections, and bleed-off valves before, during, and after transfer
- Maintain accurate records in written and electronic formats
- Participate in audits and process improvements to ensure compliance and efficiency
Requirements: A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent, with 2 years' experience in manufacturing preferred. Strong technical skills, ability to follow instructions and procedures, and willingness to learn new concepts and techniques are essential. Familiarity with SAP transactions and other software applications is desirable.
