The Director, Performance Media is responsible for oversight of all paid search, programmatic and paid social work providing general direction and management on select accounts. Specific responsibilities include investment management, quality control, strategic thought leadership, identification and adherence to evolving industry best practices. The Director, Performance Media also assists in developing, coaching, training, and overseeing job functions for their direct reports on the media activation team.

What You'll Do
- Channel-specific recommendations: Collaborate with Media Planning leads to ensure alignment with client strategy across Paid Search, Paid Social, and Programmatic.
- Strategy and optimization: Deliver strategic, in-platform management and cross-channel optimization to drive performance media investments.
- Insights delivery: Guide teams to provide actionable insights from reports for clients and internal teams.
- Subject matter expertise: Act as a client SME in partnership with Media Planning, Creative, and Integrated Strategy leads.
- Content collaboration: Work with Creative leads on content optimization, formats, and deliverable timing.
- VP support: Assist with account assignments, staffing, revenue forecasting, and investment pacing.
- Cross-team liaison: Coordinate with Engagement Strategy, Marketing Intelligence, and Brand Planning on channel-specific recommendations.
- Design department best practices: Help update relevant department templates, documentation and templates for onboarding and career development of direct report
- New business support: Create case studies, playbooks and documentation for new business support
- Thought leadership: Attend events and contribute to industry thought leadership via conferences and trade submissions with PR team support.
- Guide Team Members: Assign projects to balance workloads and challenge skills, showcasing the agency's capabilities while offering training, mentorship, and leadership.
- Provide Feedback: Support MI team members' growth through regular, formal, and informal feedback to enhance their creative skills.
- Perform Team Evaluations: Conduct performance reviews and coach direct reports to develop growth plans.
- Model and Foster Psychological Safety: Promote inclusion, participation, and diverse perspectives within your team and across the agency.
- Experience in Healthcare Media: 8 years in cross-channel media activation, with management-level Healthcare/Pharma experience.
- Certifications: Google and Microsoft Ads Certified required; Google Analytics Certified preferred.
- Platform expertise: Proficient in buying platforms like DV360, SA360, PulsePoint, Meta, Prisma, etc.
- Performance media tools: Advanced knowledge of media tools, buying platforms, DMPs, and analytics models.
- Client media plans: Skilled in writing and presenting compelling media plans to clients.
- Independent planning: Work with minimal supervision, applying and communicating planning philosophies.
- Project ownership: Takes full ownership and maintains high standards in all projects.
- Creative problem-solving: Combines analytical and creative thinking to troubleshoot and collaborate.
- Positive team spirit: Brings humor and a positive attitude to the workplace.
