Job Description
Follow instructions to perform a variety of duties in a dining hall or related facility.

Education and Experience
The ability to read, write, and follow instructions; record temperatures on dish machines, freezers, etc.

Responsibilities
Load and operate a dishwashing machine.

Remove and store washed dishes, glasses, cups, silverware, etc.

Wash pots, pans and cooking utensils.

Mop floors, wash walls windows, cabinets, shelves, equipment, etc., including locker room and bathroom areas.

Clear and clean tables and dispose of trash and garbage.

Observe safety and health regulations and maintain highest standards of sanitation.

May move materials into and out of storage area.

May fill milk and beverage dispensers and replenish as needed.

Physical Requirements
  • Standing 85% – 100% of the shift
  • Frequent bending at the waist; able to bend to below the knee
  • Frequent stooping and/or crouching
  • Frequent walking back and forth throughout the counter area and stock room and food service areas
  • Frequent twisting and bending of head, neck, and torso
  • Full range of arm movement (extension, twisting, and bending of arm and shoulder, reaching overhead, stirring and mixing, wiping, etc.)
  • Wrist and finger dexterity (i.e. ability to use tongs, scissors)
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs from the floor to waist height
  • Able to lift up to 30 lbs. overhead
  • Able to push and pull up to 250 lbs.
  • Wrist and finger dexterity (i.e. ability to use tongs, scissors, pen, fine motor skills, press buttons for data entry on computer, calculator, electronic K5 and other beverage machines etc.)
  • Listening to and responding to customer and staff inquiries
  • Visual and cognitive capability sufficient to read and follow instructions, recipes etc.


Tools/Equipment
Will be required to learn to operate a variety of equipment including dish washing machine, buffer, vacuum cleaner, and use mops and brooms, etc.
