What are the responsibilities and job description for the Title IX Case Coordinator position at Syracuse University?
The Title IX Case Coordinator works closely and collaboratively with students, faculty, staff, and community partners to ensure that a fair and equitable process is followed in managing and addressing issues of sex discrimination including sexual and relationship violence. Using best practices, the Title IX Case Coordinator will initiate supportive measures for students and coordinate with University partners to ensure ongoing follow-up with students involved in complaints alleging violation of Title IX, NYS law or University policies regarding sexual harassment, sexual violence, stalking, and other forms of gender / gender identity-based forms of discrimination in which a student is the respondent. The Case Coordinator is also responsible for managing cases involving the informal resolution process which includes the drafting of relevant paperwork, coordinating a resolution between parties and monitoring compliance with the resolution.
