Job Summary:
This role involves supporting the operations team by ensuring all equipment is properly maintained and fueled.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fuel every piece of delivery equipment on a daily basis
- Conduct daily checks of fluid levels in power equipment
- Assist the fleet shop as needed to maintain equipment
- Collaborate with the fleet shop and night warehouse management to prepare equipment for use
- Clean and wash trailers according to FSQA schedules
- Maintain a clean and organized parking lot
- Support night truck spotters in organizing the truck yard
Qualifications:
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent, or General Education Development (GED)
Experience:
- At least 1-3 months of related experience and/or training
Professional Skills:
- Able to read and understand simple instructions and correspondence
- Able to write simple correspondence
- Effective communication and presentation skills
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
- Apply common sense and problem-solving skills
- Learn to drive and back-up tractor-trailers and straight trucks
Physical Demands:
This role requires the ability to:
- Stand and walk regularly
- Use hands to handle equipment and tools
- Talk and hear frequently
- Climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl occasionally
- Sit occasionally
- Lift and move up to 50 pounds frequently
- Have good vision and ability to adjust focus
