Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Fleet Technician III to join our team at Sysco. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and safety of our fleet.
About the Role
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues, including electrical systems, refrigeration units, and hydraulic systems.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with other technicians to share knowledge and best practices.
- Participate in continuous learning and training to stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and techniques.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent, and 2 years of experience in fleet maintenance, or 5 years of experience in a related field.
- A valid driver's license, and a CDL is preferred but not required.
- ASE certifications in automotive or medium/heavy duty trucks, and EPA section 608 certification.
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, walking, and lifting up to 100 pounds.
