Job Summary:
Sysco, a leading food distribution company, seeks an experienced Fleet Technician III to join their team. As a critical member of the fleet maintenance department, this individual will be responsible for performing quality preventive maintenance inspections and repairs on vehicles and equipment to ensure safe and reliable transportation.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance tasks on fleet vehicles and equipment to prevent breakdowns and reduce downtime.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and track vehicle history to inform future maintenance decisions.
- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with tractors, trailers, and other equipment.
- Collaborate with drivers and dispatch teams to address vehicle issues promptly and minimize disruptions.
- Educate and mentor junior technicians to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- ASE certifications in Medium/Heavy Duty Trucks and Refrigeration.
- Valid driver's license and ability to operate various equipment.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Working Conditions:
- Occasional travel to other locations as needed.
