10 years of experience working in mechanical controls engineering role.
Should have been involved in control and instrumentation system design.
Excellent written and spoken English and strong communication skills for customer interactions.
Experience with working as a part of project delivery team.
Experience is medical device industry will be an added advantage
Roles & Responsibilities
Understands controls / software to support production equipment with respect to hardware / Software integrations.
Support the Systems and Equipment team responsible for delivering assembly, characterization and test equipment to manufacture medical devices.
Ability to diagnose software issues stemming from software or software / hardware bugs
Ability to understand Python script "API" provided by Test Equipment & Infrastructure Team
Generate new Python scripts based on example scripts provided by Test Equipment & Infrastructure to enable high-level test procedures (not implementing SW libraries)
Modification of Python scripts provided by Test Equipment & Infrastructure Team and the R&D Teams - For example, separating logic into smaller components
Short term deployments of software from the shared repository to provide to all supplier contacts. Also, managing access and training for shared repository for supplier contacts.
Broad general understanding of the test equipment, test software, and IT connectivity present within the Test Stand - Tool Driver platform
Software installations and installation troubleshooting at supplier sites following the procedures outlined and provided by the Test Equipment & Infrastructure Team
Knowledgeable about the development, documentation and validation work completed by the Test Equipment & Infrastructure Team. Ability to review documentation with suppliers
Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action processes as needed.
Support suppliers on "delta" validation work based on the "delta" software development Potential to take the LabVIEW review task.
Generic Managerial Skills
Track project progress and report regularly to senior management.
Work within a multi-discipline team, consisting of the R&D Development Group, Marketing, Quality, Operations
Communication across multiple different teams and companies including on-site support at the suppliers
Single point communication with the software sub-team within Test Equipment & Infrastructure
