Job Description : User Interface Designer Summary As an integral part of the software development team at RCIS, the UX Designer will contribute to the overall usability strategy within our product development roadmap. This strategy consists of delivering the vision, experience, and standards for information architecture and user experience.
The UX Designer fulfills key business objectives by designing effective and efficient digital user experiences through wireframes, interaction models, and UI specifications. The UX Designer will partner with cross-functional Agile software teams to establish and deliver on customer requirements as they pertain to the creation of new or existing product digital experiences. Working closely with product and program managers, business representatives, and customers, the UX Designer defines and ensures UX strategy and design guidelines are incorporated into requirements that specify how products are expected to operate and behave in order to achieve the expected user experience. This extends to ensuring plans incorporate user testing and validation of the documented experiences.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate the client's product vision by researching, conceiving, sketching, prototyping, and user-testing experiences for digital products.
- Take a user-centered design approach and rapidly test and iterate your designs.
- Translate designs into site maps, user flows, wireframes, journey maps, mockups, and prototypes leading to intuitive user experiences for a wide range of device types and interfaces.
- Identify design problems and devise solutions.
- Make strategic design and user-experience decisions related to core, and new, functions and features.
- Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.
- Ask smart questions, take risks, and champion new ideas and UX / UI design standards.
