Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Buyer to join our dynamic team. In this crucial role, you will coordinate activities involved in procuring goods and services, including aircraft parts, licenses, hardware, electronics, and raw materials. Your expertise will ensure that our inventory levels are maintained appropriately to support current and upcoming projects while avoiding excessive overstock.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the procurement of goods and services, ensuring timely acquisition and delivery.
• Maintain up-to-date inventory records and communicate with suppliers to confirm that they meet delivery commitments.
• Conduct daily reviews of open purchase orders and expediting reports, taking corrective action as needed to address any issues.
• Collaborate with transportation companies to prevent delays in transit and ensure the smooth flow of materials.
• Develop and implement metrics for managing delivery timelines and communicate weekly updates to program management and manufacturing departments.
• Analyze purchase requisitions to ensure completeness and clarity regarding material quantities, quality requirements, delivery specifications, and necessary documentation.
• Investigate and identify potential suppliers, preparing bid specifications and issuing requests for quotations (RFQs).
• Evaluate bid quotations based on price, delivery timeline, financial stability, technical capabilities, and quality control measures.
• Establish and maintain competitive vendor relationships in compliance with procurement best practices and company policies.
• Negotiate and finalize purchase orders while addressing any purchasing issues that arise, such as defective goods or service discrepancies.
• Collaborate with accounting to resolve invoice payments and related inquiries.
• Ensure compliance with domestic and international standard procurement practices, export/import regulations, ITAR, and current incoterms.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in procurement and purchasing, preferably in an aerospace or manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of inventory management and forecasting.
• Familiarity with procurement best practices and regulations.
• Excellent analytical and negotiation skills.
• Exceptional communication abilities to interact with vendors, internal departments, and stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and thoroughness in documentation.
