System One is assisting our client in hiring an HSE Supervisor for their manufacturing facility in East Houston (77011)
This is a perm search.
Responsible for facilitating compliance with occupational health and safety (OSHA) guidelines, improve safety procedures to minimize risk to employees and company assets, and to collaborate with team members to ensure and promote safe work practices and a safe working environment. Position will report to the Health, Environmental, Safety Director.
Your responsibilities in this role.
· Develop Safety Program with the cultural approach of zero incidents.
· Provide safety training and education programs for employees, including new hire orientation, refresher courses, and specialized training as needed.
· Prepare and present training on company and site-specific safety standards and procedures; advise employees on safety-related topics and verify preventative measures.
· Injury Management
· Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and implement corrective and preventive measures.
· Maintain Company and Facility specific Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) standards, programs and goals by learning and applying HSE procedures as established by the Company
· Implement, and maintain safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
· Promote HSE standards and goals on project to confirm a safe and productive work environment
· Conduct surveys, audits, evaluations, inspections, reports, and investigations of scope incidents and activities to monitor, track, and document HSE standards and documentation
· Maintains safety equipment inventories and performs periodic safety equipment inspections
· Collaborate with management, supervisors, and employees to promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability.
· Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, training sessions, and compliance documentation.
· Stay informed about industry best practices, new regulations, and emerging safety technologies to continuously improve safety programs.
· Participate in safety committee meetings, contribute to safety improvement initiatives, and assist in emergency response planning.
· Conduct hazard assessments, job safety analyses (JSAs), and risk assessments to identify and mitigate workplace hazards.
· Other duties as assigned
COMP: $70,000 - $85,000 DOE

- Must be bilingual English/Spanish
- Must have HSE experience in a manufacturing facility, including knowledge of OSHA requirements, establishing/improving safety guidelines, safety training, accident investigation, injury management, surveys, audits, and inspections.
- Ability to train groups of people in both English and Spanish
- This position has no direct reports and manages a function. Reports to the HSE Director.
