Mechanic Assembler
Pay: $21 - $24/hour ($43,680- $49,920/yr)
Hours: 6:00am - 3:30pm or 4:30pm (OT available)

Position Overview:
The Mechanical Assembler will assemble mechanical parts, pieces or products using a variety of tools and equipment according to engineering drawings in a manufacturing plant. We are looking for a self-starter capable of working on a variety of different tasks, including assembly and parts preparation.

The Mechanical Assembler will assemble mechanical parts, pieces or products using a variety of tools and equipment according to engineering drawings in a manufacturing plant. We are looking for a self-starter capable of working on a variety of different tasks, including assembly and parts preparation.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Assemble mechanical and pneumatic components into sub-assemblies across multiple models in each of their respective product lines
- Ensure proper fit of all parts by drilling, grinding, or shimming to adjust to a proper fit
- Read and follow engineering drawings with minimal supervision on complex machines
- Use a variety of electrical, hydraulic and air activated hand tools
- Prepare assembly of machines by collecting and organizing required parts
- Prepare parts for assembly through material prep techniques including blasting and painting
- Move large parts and machines around manufacturing floor using forklift or overhead crane
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, team environment
- Other duties as assigned
- Must know how to read a tape measure
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and assemble products or their parts
- Possess a familiarity with assembly and measuring tools, ability to interpret visual aids, and ability to perform simple math
- Ability to operate equipment, troubleshoot, and problem solve
- Organized with a strong attention to detail
- Possess a dedication to quality and safety
- Ability to frequently stand, bend, and reach
- Ability to lift, pull up or push up to 50 pounds as required
- Possess a positive attitude and leadership skills
- Knowledge of lean principles desired, but not required
