System One is seeking a Program Manager for a long-term contract role in Los Alamos, NM. This role will support the Laboratory's Lab-wide finance and accounting business systems, playing a critical role in enhancing and evolving these systems to meet future business needs.
As the Program Manager, you will collaborate closely with senior finance and accounting managers, as well as internal Laboratory teams, to set the strategic direction for the enhancement and optimization of financial business systems. You will be responsible for leading the planning, development, and implementation of the Laboratory’s business systems, ensuring their ongoing maintenance, modification, and enhancement.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, development, and implementation of business systems for finance and accounting.
- Collaborate with finance and accounting senior managers and cross-functional teams to define system requirements, processes, and objectives.
- Manage the modification, maintenance, and enhancement of current systems to ensure alignment with evolving business needs.
- Guide and mentor a team of professionals, fostering a collaborative environment and developing strategies for team success.
- Drive innovation by identifying, evaluating, and implementing new tools and systems to enhance efficiency.
- Provide leadership in managing the future implementation of a new ERP system, ensuring effective change management and integration with existing technologies.
- Advise senior management on hardware and software needs for system integration and improvements.
- Ensure that technology initiatives align with organizational business objectives, balancing immediate needs with long-term goals.
What You Will Need:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- 8 years of related experience in business systems management, with a focus on finance and accounting.
- Q-clearance and A-level access required.
- Advanced leadership experience, including team performance management, employee development, and succession planning.
- Proven track record in managing business systems, including requirements analysis, process modeling, systems design, testing, and implementation.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and financial systems.
- Extensive experience with ERP systems such as Oracle EBS, SAP, PeopleSoft, or Oracle Cloud. Experience with ERP implementations, upgrades, and integrations.
- Expertise in managing finance and accounting business systems, system integration, and technology advancements.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to communicate complex ideas and build consensus with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and resolve conflicts effectively.
Preferred Skills:
- Expertise in business systems like Oracle, Concur, Empath, MicroStrategy Enterprise Reporting, Pricing and Estimating Module (PEM).
- Master’s in management information systems (MIS), CPA, or MBA.
- Extensive experience leading large-scale ERP implementations and consolidating peripheral systems and processes.
