Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Application Systems Analyst to support the development of new software projects and maintain a statewide application. This role involves analyzing business processes, gathering user requirements, and translating them into detailed technical designs to guide development and testing teams. The ideal candidate will act as a liaison between stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring seamless project delivery and maintaining the integrity of existing system functionality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze business system processes and user needs to develop detailed technical design specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver effective solutions for assigned projects.
- Conduct design document reviews and validate system functionality during development and testing phases.
- Understand the system’s overall design and configuration to assess the impact of new requirements on existing functionality.
- Write and execute complex SQL queries for data analysis, root cause identification, and troubleshooting.
- Serve as the primary lead on assigned projects, managing requirement gathering, technical documentation, and communication with stakeholders.
- Work within iterative, Agile, and Waterfall methodologies, ensuring project documentation is up-to-date in tools like TFS/Azure DevOps.
- Create and present project materials using tools such as PowerPoint and Visio.
Qualifications:
- Mid-Senior level experience in business or application systems analysis within software development projects.
- Proficiency in Windows 11, .NET, Web Services, and MS SQL Studio 2019 or later.
- Experience with TFS/Azure DevOps and documentation tools such as PowerPoint and Visio.
- Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, and Iterative project methodologies.
- Excellent communication and troubleshooting abilities.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and act as a primary project lead.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a talent for creating comprehensive technical design documents.
