Description
Basic Functions (or Position Summary):
Prepares and performs minor preventative maintenance on a variety of uncomplicated equipment. Performs a variety of duties in and around buildings and grounds. Assists maintenance personnel and other workers in their tasks including routine setups, fixtures and tooling. Uses simple measurement instruments to check for fixture and tooling tolerances.
Ensuring spaces are prepared for the next day by taking out trash, recycling cardboard, and dusting surfaces. Cleaning Plant Floors, Washing and sanitizing toilets, sinks, counters, tables and restocking disposables.
Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Ensure production work center areas are maintained by taking out trash, recycling cardboard and cleaning equipment surfaces
· Cleaning Plant Floors and hand rails
· Painting of railing, walking lanes, office areas, and plant equipment
· Sanitation of toilets, sinks, counter tops, tables and restock disposables (e.g. soap, paper towels)
· Wipe mirrors and windows
· Maintain outer premises by cleaning entrances, disposing of trash, leaves and removal of weeds.
· Utilize herbicides as needed within the landscaping and parking areas
· Perform maintenance and minor repairs (replacing broken switches, fixing door handles, minor leaks etc.)
· Report major damages and assist with repairs
· Secure facilities after operating hours by locking doors and shutting down HVAC equipment
· Undertake occasional custodial and janitorial tasks (shoveling snow from the sidewalk, lifting heavy items, moving chairs and tables, etc.)
· Undertake occasional maintenance tasks by assisting with equipment or rack installations, office remodeling and furniture assembly

*This position requires regular on-time attendance as outlined by Human Resources or your supervisor(s). The position also requires the ability to work independently or in a team setting. You will be expected to accept direction from your supervisor, management and subordinate personnel and to work amicably and productively with co-workers.
