THIS ROLE IS AN ONSITE ROLE. The person we ae seeking must be in the area or open to relo. They must have experience managing a team of Direct reports. Infor, Healthcare and Epic experience would be ideal.
General Summary:
The Applications Manager assumes a leadership role in the Information Technology Department application environment, including but not limited to designing and developing process improvements for rollouts, manage full life cycle implementation of major new technologies, meeting customer service financial objectives, grow and develop team members, lead functional and development teams and actively participate in all phases of system implementation including requirements gathering, functional and technical design, system design and development, testing, rollout, support.
Responsibilities:
- Assumes a leadership and strategic role in the evolution of our application’s environment, including but not limited to: a. designing and developing process improvements for rollouts, b. manage full life cycle implementation of major new technologies, c. grow and develop team members, d. lead functional and development teams and actively participate in all phases of system implementation including requirements gathering, functional and technical design, system design and development, testing, rollout, support e. apply advanced knowledge and exercise independent judgment and discretion in management of IT applications and personnel
- Meets customer service objectives by: a. forecasting requirements b. preparing an annual budget c. scheduling expenditures d. analyzing variances e. initiating corrective actions f. troubleshooting transaction issues g. fully documenting all configurations, customizations, and interfaces to other systems h. completing audits i. implementing change through automation as needed
- Oversees the analysis of user needs and makes recommendations of hardware and software applications a. Prepares and completes action plans b. Implements production, productivity, quality, and customer –service standards c. Responsible for implementing change through automation, as needed
- Accomplishes customer service/human resource objectives by: a. recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees, b. communicating job expectations c. planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions
- Participate in the client IT governance process by: a. Enforcing policies and procedures b. Participate in client steering and oversight committees c. Preparing and presenting decision documents
- All other duties as assigned within the scope and range of job responsibilities
Required Education, Credential(s) and Experience:
- Education: Bachelor Degree or 10 years of experience in lieu of degree.
- Experience: Required: 5 years of experience in IT management position Preferred: 7 years of experience in Healthcare IT management position
Preferred Education, Credential(s) and Experience:
- Education: Master Degree
- Credential(s): ITIL v4 Foundational Certification
- Six Sigma Lean Green Belt Certified
- Project Management Professional
Salary : $160,000 - $180,000
