What are the responsibilities and job description for the Low Voltage Communications Installer position at Systematic Technologies?
Job Summary:
Systematic Technologies is seeking low voltage installers in the installation, testing, and troubleshooting of various types of systems including structured cabling and security systems. This is a construction position, not an IT position. We will train the right candidate.
Roles and Responsibilities:
· Installing copper and fiber optic cabling systems including staging materials and planning the execution of work, pathways, TR build-out, pulling cable, terminations (fiber and copper), testing and troubleshooting
· Fiber optic cable solution installation.
· Installation of security systems.
· Pulling cables, fire stopping, dressing cables, and labeling to industry standards.
· Terminating CAT5e jacks, CAT6 jacks, coaxial and fiber optic connectors.
· Accurately testing copper and fiber optic cables to industry standard utilizing appropriate test equipment.
· Troubleshooting and repairing copper and fiber optic cables.
Requirements:
· Solid team player and able to take direction effectively by team leaders.
· Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
· A self-starter with excellent organizational and time management skills.
· Ability to Demonstrate technical aptitude, and able to multi-task.
· Read and understand blueprints to determine closet and equipment layout.
· Excellent Hand and Power Tool Skills, knowledge of basic test equipment (multi-meter, toner, etc.).
· Ability to work extended hours (overtime) as needed.
· Must be able to work safely following company policy/procedures on safety.
· Ability to lift at least 50 pounds, as necessary.
· Ability to climb ladders, stand for extended periods, and work in aerial lifts.
· Comfortable with, and capable of, working in open construction environments.
· NICET/BICSI/PLT certifications are a plus

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $30.00 per hour
