We are seeking an experienced Automation & Packaging Equipment Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of hands-on experience in the pharma, food, or medical devices industry with expertise in troubleshooting, upgrading, and maintaining automated systems and equipment. This role requires a proactive individual capable of working with complex systems such as serialization, batch number management, 2D barcodes, SCADA, PLCs, and various packaging and compression machines.
The candidate will also be responsible for equipment changeovers (e.g., transitioning production from Product A to Product B) and must have strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with OEMs for troubleshooting and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and upgrades on automated systems, including serialization systems, SCADA, PLCs, and other equipment.
- Manage and implement equipment changeovers between different product batches (e.g., Product A to Product B).
- Support and optimize operations on packaging lines, including machines for labeling, compression, and 2D barcode printing.
- Ensure seamless integration and coordination of systems for batch number tracking and serialization compliance.
- Communicate and collaborate with OEMs to resolve equipment-related issues effectively.
- Conduct periodic inspections, testing, and validation of equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with industry standards.
- Analyze and troubleshoot SCADA and PLC system alarms to minimize downtime and enhance efficiency.
- Maintain detailed documentation of maintenance activities, troubleshooting, and equipment upgrades.
- Ensure adherence to GMP, FDA, and other regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- 3-4 years of experience in automation, packaging, or production environments in the pharma, food, or medical devices industry.
- Strong hands-on expertise in serialization, batch number management, 2D barcodes, SCADA, and PLC systems.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting packaging and compression machines and coordinating with OEMs for support.
- Experience managing product changeovers (from Product A to Product B) with minimal downtime.
- Familiarity with GMP, FDA regulations, and other compliance standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Automation, or a related field (preferred but not required).

Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose and repair issues with automation systems to ensure minimal downtime.

- Packaging Lines and Tablet Press: Operate and maintain IMA packaging lines and high-speed tablet presses, including Korsch, Fette, and Kilian models.

Must have Experience
- Hands-on experience with IMA and All-Fill packaging lines.
- Knowledge and experience with high-speed tablet press operations.
- Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing
- Experience in Troubleshooting and Repair, Software Upgrades, Change Control and Validation, Process Control Systems, Packaging Lines and Tablet Press, Regulatory Compliance
- Familiarity with cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practice) and EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) regulations.
