(SA-TECH) is a progressive and well-established Department of Defense (DoD) contractor specializing in Range operations and maintenance (O weapons testing; facilities management; aerial, ground and seaborne targets O technical, logistics and other engineering support; systems integration; electronics and communications maintenance services; and a growing cybersecurity business. We are highly focused and, among other efforts, currently operate a dozen active test and / or training ranges for the Army, Air Force and Navy. SA-TECH supports munitions delivery training for Air Force, Army, Navy and Marine Corps air and ground crews through USAF Air Combat Command’s Primary Training Ranges (PTRs). We deliver OM&S services to PTR bombing and gunnery (B&G) ranges and electronic warfare (EW) ranges, supporting remote threat emitters, mission data processing, range communications, weapons impact and electronic combat scoring.

We are currently hiring a General Maintenance Worker to perform general maintenance and repair of facilities, associated facility equipment and systems, lawn care, gravel roads repair / maintenance and snow removal. Requires practical skill and knowledge (but not proficiency) in such trades as janitorial, painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and roads & grounds care equipment at our facilities supporting the Electronic Warfare Site in / near Colony, WY .

The basic duties include (but are not limited to) :

Operate pick-up truck with snow plow, compact farm tractors with loader bucket & other attachments, riding lawn mowers, snow blowers, weed eaters, ATV equipped with weed spraying system, and other similar equipment if required in a safe and effective manner.
Work involves snow plowing, mowing grass, and conducting general weed control, (either mechanically or by use of herbicides if licensed) at main site and remote locations in South Dakota, Montana and Wyoming.
Perform janitorial housekeeping, trash collection, window cleaning, carpet cleaning and other janitorial duties.
Repair / replace fencing, blading gravel driveways & parking areas, plowing snow, moving dirt / gravel, and clearing vegetation / weeds as needed at remote sites.
Replace electrical receptacles, switches, fixtures, and electrical motors; using plaster or compound, patch minor holes and cracks in walls; replace ceiling tiles; repair sinks, faucets and toilets; paint structures and equipment; repair concrete floors, steps, and sidewalks; replace damaged carpet and floor tiles; hang doors and install door handles & locks; replace broken window panes; and perform general maintenance on facility structures, equipment and ground maintenance machinery.
Perform Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) and periodic services on equipment and document all maintenance actions.
Operate hand & powered tools, cleaning equipment, and use ladders in a safe and effective manner.
Maintain all tools and equipment assigned in good repair.
Store tools, equipment and materials in a safe manner with a neat appearance.
Perform remote site roads & grounds maintenance, and perimeter fence & gate repairs.
Perform all additional duties as instructed by site management (IAW CBA).

Work Conditions :

Perform work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.

Must be able to perform maintenance activities that requires long periods of standing, walking, bending, reaching and lifting in an outdoor environment.

Must be able to climb ladders, work in elevated areas in a safe manner.

Must be able to lift 75 lbs. unassisted, and 75 – 100 lbs. with assistance.

Job demands require physical dexterity and flexibility.

Must be physically able to sit, stand, kneel and climb.

Is subject to high noise levels and vibration.

Overtime will be required at times to support operations.

Requirements :

Education / Experience / Skills :

High school diploma or equivalent ( required ).

Must be a self-starter, with the ability to work independently with little to no supervision.

Basic knowledge of applicable building and safety code requirements, methods and practices followed in the use and maintenance of tools, basic water systems & plumbing maintenance, operate machinery and equipment ( required ).

Effective oral and written communication skills ( required ).

Must be able to read, understand and follow operator manuals ( required ).

Present professional appearance and demeanor ( required ).

Understand and adhere to policies and procedures ( required ).

Experience in lawn care, roads & grounds maintenance using light duty tractor & attachments, snow plowing, construction skills, and vehicle maintenance ( required ).

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure ( required ).

Must be able to provide own transportation to and from work.

Current Driver’s License is required ; must be able to be insured through company’s vehicle insurance policy while driving work / government / rental vehicles during working hours, and for the duration of employment.

Class B CDL License highly desired, but not required.

South Dakota, Wyoming and / or Montana Pesticide Applicators License preferred.

U.S. Citizenship required and must be granted a U.S. DoD Interim Security Clearance prior to start date and must be able to achieve a Final Secret Security Clearance and maintain this Secret Security Clearance throughout employment.

All candidates will be required to pass background screening to include SSN, Driver Record, and Criminal Background Investigation.
