Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating CNC machines to produce precision parts and components. This role requires a strong understanding of materials handling, as well as experience with various machinery and tools. The CNC Operator will ensure that production processes run smoothly and efficiently while adhering to safety standards and quality control measures.
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC machines, including Fanuc-controlled equipment, to manufacture parts according to specifications.
- Interpret technical drawings and blueprints, applying GD&T principles as necessary.
- Set up and adjust CNC machines for optimal performance, including tool changes and calibration.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure proper functioning and longevity.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products, ensuring they meet required specifications.
- Handle materials safely in the shop environment, including operating forklifts as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety protocols.
Experience
- Previous experience as a CNC Operator or in a similar manufacturing role is preferred.
- Familiarity with materials handling processes and machine shop operations is advantageous.
- Proficient in using hand tools and operating other machinery.
- Experience with GD&T principles is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a factory setting, demonstrating attention to detail and adherence to safety standards.
