The Marketing and Events Coordinator is responsible for planning and executing a wide range of marketing initiatives and events that support the organization’s mission, visibility, and stakeholder engagement across the regional area. This position manages event logistics, collaborates on promotional strategies, and maintains consistent communications with internal teams and external partners. Key responsibilities include event coordination, content development, and strategic support for community outreach and engagement efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate all aspects of in-person, virtual, and hybrid events, including venue and vendor management, registration processes, and contract oversight.
- Develop event agendas, manage run-of-show logistics, and assist speakers and panelists with preparation.
- Partner with the Communications Coordinator to design and distribute marketing materials for events.
- Serve as the primary liaison for external partners utilizing organizational facilities for hosted events.
- Maintain an internal event calendar and monitor community events to coordinate organizational participation.
- Collaborate with leadership and staff to develop and manage budgets for marketing and events initiatives.
- Provide planning and logistics support for major organizational projects and strategic events.
- Utilize event technology tools for scheduling, registration, promotion, and live-streaming.
- Conduct post-event evaluations and apply insights to improve future planning processes.
- Coordinate purchasing and administrative functions in alignment with internal policies and procedures.
- Ensure all marketing and event initiatives incorporate diversity, equity, and inclusion principles.
- Support occasional early morning, evening, and weekend events as required.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Event Management, or a related field preferred.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in marketing coordination, event planning, or public relations.
Special Requirements
- Flexibility to work non-standard hours including evenings and weekends.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally for events and community engagement.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficiency with tools like Pardot, Salesforce, ClickUp, Asana, Canva, and Zoom.
- Strong understanding of marketing and promotional strategies for events.
- Experience managing logistics including catering, A/V services, livestreaming, and guest communications.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines and competing priorities.
- Creativity and attention to detail in executing compelling events and marketing campaigns.

Work Environment
