Responsibilities:
- Manage employee relations issues, make recommendations to management for corrective action, ensure all documentation and processes are followed.
- Maintains positive employee relations through active interaction with employees and facilitating and coordinating employee engagement activities and annual employee recognition events.
- Coordinates and manages external and internal recruitment and interviews. Develops recruitment strategy to maintain staffing and seek candidates. Works closely with management to determine staffing levels and needs.
- Manages temporary employee placement and screening. Communicates frequently with contracted temporary agencies and Systex leadership.
- Maintains temporary associate database and administers temp-to-hire process.
- Organize and manage onboarding and orientation processes for all new team members including weekly orientation class.
- Enters all new hire data in HRIS system (Manager Services) and benefit websites.
- Maintains Work Force Management (WFM) time & attendance system which includes the setup of all new associates - full-time and temporary, writing reports as needed, and processing program changes.
- Finalizes all time and attendance hours weekly in WFM and prepares hours for payroll processing. Communicates frequently with leaders regarding time and attendance and provides reports as requested.
- Coordinates all medical leaves including short term disabilitly, FMLA, ESTA, long term disability, workman’s compensation.
- Works with employees to assist with ADA accommodation process.
- Responds to employee and leader questions related to payroll, PTO, benefits, and attendance, etc.
- Actively involved with annual benefit open enrollment. Processes all benefit election changes internally and with third party vendors.
- Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures and programs
- Completes/processes employment verifications, medical support orders, etc.
- Completes monthly KPI data entry and reporting
- Administers all employee terminations, which includes proper documentation and communication
- Lead for responding to unemployment claims including hearings
- Provides requested information and reports to Senior Management Team
- Lead for non-exempt reviews. Notify leaders of upcoming performance reviews, provides corresponding data to leaders to complete reviews, enters changes in HRIS and tracks in spreadsheet
- Enters training records into Training Manager database
- Oversees wellness and tuition reimbursement programs
- Prepares internal communications and ensures that they are effective and professionally presented
- Maintains Systex Absence Reporting system. Submits weekly feeds to provider.
- Maintains employee monitor system and bulletin board communications
- Coordinates safety training and certifications, Top Safety Patrol program, assists with other safety items and reporting.
- Special projects and other duties as assigned
Skills Preferred:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources
· PHR or SHRM-CP certification
· Minimum of 3-5 years HR Generalist experience with experience in some or all of the following areas: benefits administration, conflict resolution, policy interpretation, employment laws and payroll
· Strong working knowledge of Human Resources laws and regulations
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Strong organizational and time management skills in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment
· Employee relations
· Highly organized with exceptional problem solving skills
· Ability to uphold strict confidentiality
· Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Office, Outlook, PowerPoint
· Experience with HRIS
· Experience with time & attendance software
· Strategic corporate HR program management
Physical Requirements:
· Must be able to sit for extended periods of time using a computer
· Must be able to stand for up to 4 hours per day
