T&B Tube is looking to fill our IT Manager position at our Miller Beach/Gary, Indiana location. T&B Tube specializes in manufacturing cut to length steel tube for a variety of applications and customers that include point of purchase displays, outdoor products, tube fabricators, and various other OEMs. Our four tube mills, four high speed recut machines, and precision tube laser enable us to deliver steel tube quickly and reliably. The Information Technology (IT) Manager is responsible for the management, implementation, and optimization of all IT and business systems and infrastructure within the organization. This role oversees daily IT operations, sets strategic goals, and leads the IT team to ensure seamless technology integration and support across departments. The IT Manager will delegate tasks to IT personnel, provide guidance, training, and support to direct reports, and drive continuous improvement in IT operations. Experience in a manufacturing environment and proficiency in Epicor ERP are strongly preferred.

This position requires strategic thinking, exceptional attention to detail, and strong communication skills, with a focus on fostering innovation and improving business operations. The IT Manager will ensure compliance with governance standards, manage technical projects, and align IT solutions with organizational objectives. This is an onsite role that collaborates closely with all departments to ensure IT operations are efficient, effective, and secure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with company stakeholders to identify business and technology needs and align IT strategies accordingly.
- Oversee and manage IT infrastructure, including ERP systems, cloud management, Microsoft 365 programs, server and network administration, and BI tools.
- Monitor IT systems to ensure maximum uptime and operational efficiency.
- Perform system monitoring and verify the integrity, security, and availability of all hardware, resources, systems, key processes, applications, and backups.
- Ensure strong and dependable internal customer service by providing timely IT support for both onsite and remote users.
- Develop and implement security protocols, disaster recovery plans, and data protection measures.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance IT performance and maintain a competitive edge.
- Prepare and analyze IT-related reports, including Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Provide training, guidance, and assistance to end-users to optimize the use of IT systems.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive data and IT operations.
- Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies, recommending opportunities for innovation and process enhancements.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of IT experience, including at least 2 years in an IT management or supervisory role.
- Ability to perform some Coding/Programming for customization of software a plus.
- Strong technical expertise in server administration, network infrastructure, and Microsoft 365 applications, including Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
- Experience with Epicor ERP is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in IT asset management, including procurement, inventory control, and vendor management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with ISO 9001:2015 standards is a plus.
