Purchasing Agent

Worldwide Distributor and Manufacturer of Irrigation equipment, with 65 years of experience in the irrigation industry.

T-L Irrigation Co. is looking for a qualified individual to join its purchasing department. This candidate would identify, qualify and develop relationships with vendors or suppliers.

Duties would include:

·        Purchase raw materials including structural and coil steel, tires, rims, and gears.

·        Place purchase orders, tracking orders, expediting orders and scheduling deliveries

·        Verifying the key suppliers for each procurement – supplier evaluation

·        Monitoring and forecasting inventory, determining purchasing needs and identify costs

·        Establishing quality control and ensuring that bought items meets company standards

·        Preparing cost estimates as needed

·        Compiling and maintaining purchase records, supplier databases and procurement contracts

·        Negotiating prices with suppliers to keep material prices as low as possible.

Qualifications Include:
