Senior Network Technician – Job Description
Our manufacturing and distribution company operates five manufacturing plants, four distribution
warehouses, and five sales offices. We pride ourselves that over the years, our constant has been

As a Senior Network Technician, you will be responsible for overseeing the design,
implementation, and maintenance of the company’s network infrastructure across multiple
manufacturing plants, distribution warehouses, and sales offices. This role ensures network
performance, security, and availability to support business operations effectively. You will bring
extensive experience in managing complex, multi-location networks and be proficient in
troubleshooting, configuration, and optimization of network systems.
Ensure users, devices and network systems security and efficient network operations for the
companies eight (BP, RS, SB, SC, SK, RJ, RV, CC) physical locations, as well as the hybrid/cloud
networking service and tools. Work closely with IT personnel and employees to update networks,
address network security breaches and help troubleshoot issues. Participate as a level II, III &
Senior technical network resource in Technology Department Special Projects.
Pay range: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour.
Key Responsibilities:
• Network Design & Implementation:
Design, install, and configure physical & virtual network systems, including routers,
switches, firewalls, and wireless access points to meet the demands of the company’s
manufacturing, distribution, and sales environments.
Qualifications
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information science.
• Experience:
5 years of experience in network administration, with a focus on multi-location
networks, preferably in a manufacturing and distribution environment.
• Certifications:
Relevant certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), CompTIA
Network , or equivalent.
Technical Skills & Qualifications:
• 5 years of experience in network administration, with a focus on multi-location
networks, preferably in a manufacturing and distribution environment.
• 5 years VMware Virtual Networking experience
• 3 years Cloud Networking (MS Azure)
• Advanced knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, etc.)
• Expertise in configuration and maintenance of network devices (Cisco, Dell, Meraki,
VMware, etc.)
• Experience with SDPs, firewalls, and security protocols
• Familiarity with cloud networking and hybrid environments (Azure, VMware)
• Proficient in network monitoring tools and platforms (e.g., CATO CMA, Wireshark)
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and integration with network infrastructure
• Hands-on experience with Cisco, Meraki, and Dell routers and switches
• Hands-on SD-WAN SASE cloud services management and delivery.
• Excellent hardware (physical and virtual) troubleshooting/maintenance skills
Soft Skills:
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment
Work Environment:
• The position requires regular travel between the company's manufacturing plants,
warehouses, and sales offices throughout Southern/Northern California.
• On-call availability for critical network issues and emergencies.
Salary : $35 - $50
