Job Summary:
We are seeking experienced Medical Surgical Registered Nurses to join our team on a per-diem or contract basis.
As a Medical Surgical RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in an acute care setting.
Your primary duties will include admitting and assessing patients, administering medications and treatments, monitoring vital signs and symptoms, and operating and tracking medical equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor patient vital signs and symptoms, reporting any changes to physicians
- Operate and maintain medical equipment, ensuring proper function and safety
- Run and order tests as necessary to diagnose and treat patient conditions
- Coordinate care with physicians and specialists to ensure comprehensive treatment
- Chart patient progress, maintaining accurate and detailed records
Requirements:
- Current CA RN license and all required certifications
- Previous experience in acute care nursing, preferably in surgical or med-surg units
- Familiarity with medical software and equipment, including electronic health records and point-of-care devices
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build rapport with patients, families, and healthcare teams
