Construction/Field Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Coordinating and working with inspectors for field reviews, data collection and analysis, studies and forecasting.

• Verify construction documents to field conditions.

• Conduct in-depth research to develop recommendations for approaches, concepts, materials and equipment selection.

• Collect and manage data for engineering or construction work such as to perform quantity take-offs for development of engineering estimate.

• Assure that drawings, calculations and designs are in accordance with company production and design standards and strengths, follow Quality Assurance and Control procedures.

• Prepare project data for schedules, assist in preparing schedules and budgets in order to monitor progress reports.

• Assist in change orders negotiations with contractors.

• Review contractor invoicing to verify quantities and enter contractor invoices into Client's online system.

• Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

• BS in Civil Engineering or related field preferred.

• EIT Certification preferred.

• 3 years of construction (office) engineer experience is required.

• Previous infrastructure construction experience with a city agency such as NYCHA or DEP

• Requires knowledge of engineering principals and industry standards.

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.

• Experience coordinating with multiple contractors and trades at one time in the field.

• Knowledge of meeting construction schedules and budgets.

TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of$86,900- $130,300 annually for this position and local market.
