Staff Operations Engineer Qualifications
Requirements:
- B.S. Degree in Petroleum Engineering (Preferred) or Chemical, Mechanical, Civil (if experience base is in Oil & Gas Operations).
- 8-15 years’ experience with an Oil & Gas Production company as an Operations, Production, or Completion Engineer.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications and PC skills.
- Project Management experience (Preferred).
Responsibilities/Expectations:
- Research field and well histories to build wellbore diagrams, write workover/recompletion procedures, & compose AFE’s.
- Have a working knowledge & understanding of cased hole and open hole well logs.
- Monitors and controls costs and resources associated with field/workover projects.
- Supervise & tutor Jr. Engineers & field personnel.
- Develops vendor relationships.
- Prepares and delivers presentations.
- Collaborates with teams to ensure compliance, build improvement plans, and meet training needs.
- Champions safety & environment processes, procedures, and standards.
- Coordinate with accounting and land departments as required.
- Identify, evaluate, recommend, and execute opportunities to maximize value through recompletions and well reactivations.
- Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills as a main priority.
- Other duties as assigned.
