Scope and Purpose
The primary result expected from the experienced Manufacturing Accountant is to review, improve and manage all day-to-day accounting, administrative activities, and HR duties, I.T. is a plus. This is the perfect position for an experienced Manufacturing Accountant who is willing to dig in and do the daily accounting work, who also thrives on challenge, has strong problem-solving skills and values being a trusted advisor of management to better the company as it relates to the financial procedures and systems, with opportunity for growth in a growing company. T3 Manufacturing is a rotational molding plastics manufacturer, operating in a world class facility.
Essential Duties and Areas of Responsibility:
- Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable
- Cash Management
- Cash Forecasting
- Invoice/Billing
- Reconciliation of credit cards
- Performs administration of Payroll and Human Resources
- Liaison for HR support for ownerships sister company.
- Month and year-end process, including preparation of annual package(s) to accounting firm.
- Accruals & Journal entries
- Maintains inventory and cost control procedures.
- Backup support to operations for receipt of goods and work ticket creations.
- May conduct variance analyses such as reviewing the balance sheet and income statement for any unexpected variances and researching variances to identify root cause for variances.
- Develops and maintains accounting operational improvements.
- Creates and updates procedures on an ongoing basis.
- Develops forecasts and budgets, identifying risks and opportunities.
- Assists with international shipments and reporting.
- Reports Federal, State and Local taxes and other required filings.
- Provide support cross departmentally to support overall business needs.
- Monitor purchasing, collection of accounts receivable, and payment of all taxes.
- Workman’s Comp yearly audit.
- Setup and maintain sales commissions in ERP system.
- I.T. duties of maintaining ERP system and go to person for external I.T. issues.
- Administrative support for President
- Other duties as assigned.

Preferred and Required Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field; equivalent work experience will be considered.
- Previous experience working with business financials in an accounting role.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient computer literacy, including Microsoft Office programs and accounting/ERP systems (experience with SAGE 100 Accounting/Manufacturing is preferred, though not required).
- Dedicated work ethic.
Work Environment:
- The main working environment for this position is a standard climate-controlled office environment.
- Occasionally, this position will be exposed to the plant environment. The plant environment is climate controlled as well and may include on occasion, exposure to heat, cold, noise and odors. Personal protective equipment is required in appropriate areas.
