Salary: $50,000 a year
Job Type: Full-Time, Exempt
Reports To: HR Manager
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in HR (Preferred); Business Administration or other related field
Human Resources: 2-4 years of HR experience in a mid-to-large organization, preferably with multi-state operations
Qualifications & Skills
· Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
· Knowledge and experience interpreting federal Laws and Regulations: FMLA; WD; FLSA; ADA; EEO; SCA; CBA, etc.
· Proficiency in HRIS systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and other HR software.
· Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
· SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus.
Work Environment & Travel
This role is primarily remote but may require occasional travel for company meetings, training, or employee events. Flexibility to work across multiple time zones to support employees across the U.S.
Position Description Summary
The HR Coordinator serves as a vital link between the HR Manager, the President, and Chief Operating Officer (COO), ensuring seamless execution of HR functions in a fast-paced, multi-location environment. This role is responsible for supporting HR operations, coordinating employee-related initiatives, and ensuring compliance with company policies and employment regulations. The HR Coordinator will assist in employee relations, benefits administration, compliance tracking, and HR-related projects for a workforce of 500 employees across the United States.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
HR Administration & Compliance
· Maintain and update employee records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
· Assist with HR audits, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to internal policies.
· Coordinate with legal and compliance teams on HR-related regulatory matters as needed.
Employee Relations & Communication
· Act as a liaison between employees and HR leadership to address concerns and provide guidance on HR policies.
· Assist in resolving workplace conflicts by facilitating discussions and documenting outcomes.
· Support the onboarding and offboarding process, ensuring a smooth transition for employees.
· Assist in coordinating employee engagement initiatives and company-wide communication efforts.
Recruitment & Talent Management
· Support the HR Manager in coordinating recruitment efforts, including scheduling interviews and maintaining candidate records.
· Assist in maintaining job descriptions and posting job openings on relevant platforms.
· Facilitate pre-employment background checks, reference checks, and new hire paperwork.
· Coordinate employee training and development programs in alignment with company goals.
Benefits & Payroll Support
· Assist employees with benefits-related inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.
· Coordinate open enrollment and benefits administration in partnership with HR leadership.
· Support payroll processing by verifying employee records, tracking time-off requests, and resolving discrepancies.
· Assist in monitoring and reporting on compensation and benefits trends to improve employee satisfaction.
HR Projects & Process Improvement
· Support HR initiatives, including performance management, DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion), and employee recognition programs.
· Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures to improve efficiency and compliance.
· Conduct research on HR best practices and industry trends to enhance the organization’s HR strategy.
· Manage and coordinate HR-related events, training, and leadership development programs.
