Job Description
POSITION PURPOSE
The Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) / Building Information Modeling (BIM) Manager will lead the virtual design and construction process for our mission-critical data center projects. Managing BIM workflows, ensuring coordination between all trades, and optimizing design and construction processes through advanced modeling technologies. This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality, hyperscale data center facilities for leading clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES
BIM Management and Coordination :
- Develop and maintain BIM Execution Plans (BEP) to align with project requirements and client standards.
- Oversee the creation, development, and management of 3D models for all project phases.
- Ensure coordination across architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines through clash detection and resolution using tools such as Navisworks or BIM 360.
Collaboration and Communication :
Process Optimization and Innovation :
Documentation and Standards Compliance :
Software and Technology Management :
Quality Assurance :
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND COMPETENCIES
Proficiency in BIM software, including Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and BIM 360.
Familiarity with scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) and cost estimation tools.
Knowledge of clash detection, 4D / 5D modeling, and coordination workflows.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results within deadlines.
