Role Summary
TAB Bank is seeking an experienced Commercial Real Estate Portfolio Manager to join our team. As a key member of our lending team, you will work closely with the Director of CRE to launch our new lending initiative.
Key Responsibilities
- Underwrite new loan requests and manage existing commercial real estate loan portfolio for loans averaging $5-10 million.
- Assess the viability of new commercial real estate loan requests, including financial statement analysis, industry risk evaluation, collateral requirements, and loan structure.
- Prepare prescreen reviews and complete full underwriting analyses.
- Determine the adequacy of primary and secondary repayment sources using project-specific and global cash flows.
- Perform ongoing reviews of existing real estate loan portfolios.
- Analyze financial conditions and trends, review non-compliance with loan covenants, and ensure accurate credit file maintenance.
- Conduct phone interviews with clients to develop a strong understanding of loan requests and business relationships.
- Reconcile proposed construction draw requests to original construction budgets.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, accounting, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in commercial real estate lending or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of credit risk analysis, underwriting, and commercial real estate lending principles.
- Excellent client relationship and communication skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and make sound decisions with supporting data.
- Strong Microsoft application knowledge (Excel, Word, Access, and Outlook) and aptitude for learning various bank software applications.
