What are the responsibilities and job description for the TAB Intern - Special Assets position at TAB Bank?
TAB Bank provides a structured, robust Internship Program that is open to College/University students. We have a commitment to our Interns to ensure we provide a meaningful experience that allows you to apply learned skills and explore the business environment while getting leadership and mentorship.
TAB Intern - Special Assets:
Work done by the intern will allow TAB to sell judgments we have secured on defaulted loans over the past several years. This project will be time intensive and will require coordination with the Special Assets team. The intended result will be to sell these judgments for more than we are able to get through 3rd party collections.
Projects, task-oriented goals and milestones for this role to accomplish:
- Assemble and potentially redact personal information from loan documents
- Upload documents to a site for a pool of buyers to review for purchase
Successful Intern candidates will have:
- Some financial understanding of loans and repayment obligations
- Excel and Word experience required
Expect to gain:
- How loans are processed when a default occurs from collections to securing judgments
- One way commercial banks exercise their rights under loan agreements
